"Having now made a few films myself, I have come to understand how intricate a beast it is and I feel closer to it than ever. This series of portraits began as a creative collaboration with The British Independent Film Awards. It represents my love and respect for the people out there who do it every day, crafting beautiful and wonderful stories and making British film the envy of the world.
 
In many ways these shoots have seen me as the fan boy – shooting all of these greats and getting to ask them millions of questions. I’ve loved every minute of it. I hope you can feel that in the pictures."
